Kuwait Club and Burgan players battle for the ball.

KUWAIT CITY, May 10: Kuwait Club's first volleyball team took a commanding step toward the 2024–2025 Premier League title by defeating Burgan 3-0 in the opening match of the championship series, held in a best-of-three format. The match took place at the Volleyball Association Hall in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex.

The second match is scheduled for next Tuesday. A win for Kuwait Club in that match will seal the league title in its favor. However, if Burgan manages to level the series, a decisive playoff will be scheduled at a later date.

Kuwait Club led the final round standings with 13 points, followed by Burgan with 11. Al-Arabi finished third, while Kazma came in fourth—both clubs securing nine points each.

Historically, Qadsia leads the league with 23 titles, followed by Kazma with 15 and Kuwait Club with 14. Al-Arabi and Al-Jahra have won the championship four times and once, respectively.
