Kuwait Club cruises past Al-Sulaibikhat

Kuwait Club goes up unchallenged to score.

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 17: Kuwait Club recorded an emphatic 133–96 victory over Al-Sulaibikhat at the Basketball Federation Hall in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex, as part of the 11th round of the league.

In the second game of the round, Al-Qadsia faced little resistance as it comfortably defeated Al-Sahel 107–72.

The win lifted Kuwait Club to the top of the standings with 22 points, ahead of Al-Qadsia on 20 points. Kazma sits third with 19 points, followed by Al-Qurain in fourth with 18. Al-Sulaibikhat is fifth with 16 points, Al-Nasr sixth with 14, Al-Sahel seventh with 12, while Al-Arabi remains at the bottom in eighth place with 11 points and still without a win.

The championship is played in a three-phase league format, after which the top four teams advance to the semifinals, which are contested in a best-of-three playoff series.
