KUWAIT CITY, Aug 18: Kuwait Club has strengthened its volleyball squad ahead of the 2026-2027 season with the signing of Talal Al-Salman, the club announced on its social media platforms.
The move is part of the team’s preparations for the new season as the club seeks to build a competitive squad capable of challenging for domestic titles and performing strongly in upcoming competitions.
Al-Salman becomes the latest addition to a Kuwaiti club side that is undergoing a reshuffle as the management works with the coaching staff to complete the squad and ensure it is fully prepared for the new campaign.
Kuwait Club has already appointed Argentine coach Ruben Luchin as head coach and signed Brazilian outside hitter Marcos Junior.
Luchin is due to arrive in Kuwait on August 23, while Marcos Junior is expected on August 20. Both will join the team as preparations intensify for the new season.
The Argentine coach brings considerable international experience, having previously managed the national teams of Bahrain, Pakistan, and Venezuela, in addition to coaching clubs in Germany and Hungary.
Marcos Junior also arrives with extensive experience in Arab volleyball, having represented Al Rayyan in Qatar, Al Nasr in the UAE, and Al Ahly in Libya. Kuwait Club is counting on the Brazilian to make an immediate impact.
The club has also strengthened its local options with the signing of Abdulaziz Shaker, who joins from Kazma on a free transfer.
Kuwait Club began its preseason training earlier this month and will continue preparations to challenge for all available trophies and maintain its position among Kuwait’s leading volleyball teams.
