KUWAIT CITY, May 11: Kuwait Club will conclude its training sessions this evening as it prepares for tomorrow’s final against Cambodia’s Svay Rieng at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium in the AFC Challenge League.

Kuwait Club has stepped up its preparations ahead of the decisive clash, as it targets another continental success after previously winning the competition on three occasions.

Head coach Nebojša Jovović held a meeting with the players, stressing the importance of correcting mistakes made in the quarter-final win over Oman’s Al Shabab and the semi-final against Kyrgyz side Muras United, while also urging maximum focus in the final to improve their chances of lifting the trophy.

Club honorary president Marzouq Al-Ghanim attended a training session earlier this week, where he boosted the players’ morale and called on them to deliver their best performance to secure another achievement for Kuwait Club.

Several Kuwait Club players also called on fans to turn out in large numbers, highlighting their crucial role in motivating the team during the final.

Goalkeeper Khaled Al-Rashidi said the squad is looking forward to strong fan support on May 13 at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium. Ali Hussein and Ibrahim Kamel also emphasized the importance of the supporters in pushing the team toward victory.

Svay Rieng continues its preparations at the stadium’s training pitch and will hold its final session at Jaber Stadium today.

The pre-match press conference will also take place today at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, featuring a coach and player from each side, along with the official technical meeting.
