Kuwait Club completes a remarkable double

Kuwait Club players celebrate with the championship trophy.

KUWAIT CITY, April 30: Kuwait Club handball youth team beat Al-Qurain  26-17 at the Martyr Fahd Al-Ahmad Center in Daiya to clinch the Federation Cup title for the 2023-2024 sports season, completing a remarkable “double” following its earlier triumph in the league.  Meanwhile, Khaitan secured third place by defeating Al-Nasr 31-19.

Following the final match, Khaled Talib, Treasurer of the Handball Federation, and Abdullah Al-Dhiyab, Assistant Secretary, presented the championship trophies to the top three teams. The ceremony was attended by Abdulaziz Yalos, Director of Handball at Al-Qurain Club, Faisal Al-Anazi, Director of the Junior Sector at Kuwait Club, and Ali Al-Mansouri, Director of Handball at Khaitan Club.

Faisal Al-Enezi expressed gratitude to the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of Kuwait Club and Al-Ameed fans, dedicating this achievement to them after the club’s exceptional double success in both the league and cup competitions. He attributed its dominance in the game to the unwavering support and dedication of the club’s management and staff, enabling it to build a championship-winning team under the banner of the White Castle.
