KUWAIT, Aug 31: Kuwait Club, on Monday, won the Kuwaiti Football League (STC) championship by beating Salmiya club (4-1) in the 17th round at Thamer Stadium. The Kuwait club players had desire to win the title and they scored four goals through Fahd Hammoud, Alaa Abbas and Youssef Nasser (two goals).
Hussein Al-Mousawi scored the goal of reducing the difference for Salmiya, to raise Kuwait's score to 40 points, which put him at the top of the league, while Salmiya's balance froze at his previous score by 32 points.
The Kuwaiti League is scheduled to conclude its competitions next Thursday.
