KUWAIT CITY, Oct 28: Kuwait Club and Qadsia have booked their spots in the final of the Volleyball Federation Cup, set to take place on Thursday, after securing victories in the semifinals held earlier this week at the Kuwait Volleyball Association Hall in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex.
Kuwait Club advanced to the final with a convincing straight-sets win over Burgan (25-19, 26-24, 25-20). Qadisia, on the other hand, earned its place by knocking out defending champion Kazma 3-1 (24-26, 25-18, 25-22, 25-21), setting up an exciting title showdown against Kuwait Club. The two teams met earlier in the group stage, where Qadsia came out on top 3-1.
The tournament followed a single round-robin format and featured nine participating clubs: Kuwait Club, Qadsia, Kazma, Arabi, Burgan, Shabab, Sulaibikhat, Nasr, and Yarmouk.
With the Federation Cup wrapping up, Kuwait’s national volleyball team will soon shift focus to preparations for the Arab Challenge Cup, scheduled to be held in Amman, Jordan, from November 28 to December 8, ahead of the start of the national league season in December.
