Kuwait Club player goes for a spike as rivals defend.

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 28: Kuwait Club cruised to a 3-0 victory over Al-Arabi in the ninth-round clash of the Volleyball League, while Burgan recorded an identical 3-0 win against Al-Yarmouk.

The result lifted Kuwait Club to 26 points at the top of the standings, as Al-Arabi remained fifth with 15 points. Burgan moved up to sixth place with 14 points, while Al-Yarmouk stayed eighth on six points.

According to the league format, teams compete in a single-round preliminary stage before the top six advance to the Premier Division. In the final phase, teams play three rounds, with the side achieving the most victories crowned champion. The team finishing first in the preliminary stage is granted an additional win as an advantage in the next round.

Kuwait Club, Al-Qadisiya, Kazma, Al-Sulaibikhat, Al-Arabi, and Burgan have officially qualified for the Premier Division. Meanwhile, Al-Shabab, Al-Yarmouk, Al-Nasr, and Al-Sahel will compete in the First Division.
