Kuwait Club and Al-Qadsiya qualify for the final of the 57th edition of the Basketball Federation Cup

KUWAIT CITY, May 21:  Al-Kuwait and Al-Qadsiya clubs have advanced to the final of the local Basketball Association Cup for the 2022-2023 season following their victories on Sunday. Al-Kuwait, the reigning Arab and West Asian champion, comfortably defeated Al-Sulaibikhat at the Al-Ittihad hall in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex for indoor halls, securing a convincing win with a score of 127-63.

In another match held at the same venue, Al-Qadsiya secured their spot in the final after being declared winners over Al-Qurain. Al-Qurain withdrew from the match four minutes before the end of the first half, citing dissatisfaction with the officiating. At the time of withdrawal, the score was 34-29 in favor of Al-Qadsiya.

The two victorious teams will face each other in the final of the 57th edition of the tournament, which is organized by the local game federation. The tournament featured the participation of all local clubs associated with the federation, competing in a single-elimination format. The final is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, where the champion of this prestigious tournament will be crowned.
