KUWAIT CITY, Oct 14: The “Super Basketball” Cup final kicks off tonight at 7:00 PM, featuring Kuwait Club and Al-Qadsia at the Basketball Hall in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex. Earlier at 5:00 PM, Kazma and Al-Qurain will clash to decide third and fourth place.

Kuwait Club, the reigning Arab champion and defending Super Cup winner, secured its spot in the final with a commanding 111-88 semifinal victory over Al-Qurain. Al-Qadsia, on the other hand, needed extra time to edge past Kazma 94-93 to reach tonight’s showdown against Kuwait.

This season, the Basketball Federation introduced a new format for the Super Cup, featuring the top four clubs from last season’s league, replacing the previous system that only included the league and cup champions.

On paper, Kuwait Club is the clear favorite to continue its dominance and claim a 10th Super Cup title. The team boasts a talented roster and high morale after last week’s Arab Championship triumph over Lebanon’s Al-Hekmeh in Dubai.

Al-Qadsia, guided by new Turkish coach Andiyak Baysir, faces a tough challenge. While it performed well against Kazma, recurring mistakes could make tonight’s task even more difficult.
