KUWAIT CITY, Aug 17: Kuwait Club has strengthened its first basketball team for the new season by signing American players Keishawn Vassell and Charlie Moore, while renewing the contract of fellow American Jamal Jones for another year.
Vassell, a 2.6-meter center with experience in multiple international leagues, is expected to be a major asset as Kuwait Club aims to defend its league and cup titles. Moore, a point guard who previously played for Al-Ahly Tripoli in Libya, brings leadership on the court and strong outside shooting skills.
Jamal Jones joined the team late last season and played a key role in securing both the league and cup championships, earning him a contract extension.
On the local front, Kuwait released Hussein Al-Khabaz and Abdulrahman Al-Jum’ah after their contracts expired, while signing Mohamed Al-Dakhil from Al-Qadisiya.
The team will hold a 10-day overseas training camp in Serbia starting in early September, featuring several friendly matches to prepare for the new season.
