Kuwait Closes Factory Over License Violation, Seizes Spoiled Food

KUWAIT CITY, May 2: Minister of Commerce and Industry Osama Khaled Bodi led an inspection tour of food-sector industrial facilities in the Subhan area on Saturday, accompanied by the Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Industry. The visit resulted in the closure of a factory found to be operating in violation of its licensed activity.

During the inspection, authorities also discovered food materials deemed unfit for human consumption, prompting the involvement of the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition and the Kuwait Municipality to take necessary action against the violators.

The minister stressed that inspection campaigns will continue at an intensified pace, warning that strict legal measures will be enforced against any facility found breaching regulations, in line with efforts to safeguard consumers and uphold the law.
