DOHA, April 18, (KUNA): Kuwait’s junior equestrian team secured a podium finish, claiming third place in the team finals of the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) Group 7 Championships.
Competing at the prestigious Al Shaqab Longines Arena in Doha, the Kuwaiti riders delivered a composed performance on a demanding technical course, confirming their status among the region’s top emerging talents.
The United Arab Emirates claimed the gold medal, while Saudi Arabia finished second. Kuwait’s third-place result came through the efforts of Mohammad Al-Mulaifi, Ghazi Al-Faleej, and Moudhi Al-Jabri.
Team coach Ali Al-Kharafi praised the riders in remarks to KUNA, highlighting the high level of competition and the strong international participation. He described the result as an important boost for the team as they look to build momentum in upcoming regional and international events.
Al-Kharafi also thanked supporters and expressed confidence ahead of the individual competitions scheduled for Saturday.
The four-day championship, which began on Wednesday, features more than 100 riders from across the region competing for a total prize money of €318,000 (approximately $375,000).
