TUNIS, Oct 31: Kuwait’s national air sports team claimed gold in the Aeromodelling competition at the fourth Arab Model Aviation Championship in Tunisia, held as part of the third Arab Air Sports Games.

The Kuwaiti trio of Abdulaziz Al-Foudari, Talal Al-Foudari, and Mohammed Al-Dosari topped the standings after overcoming strong competition from their Arab rivals.

Head of the Kuwaiti delegation and Kuwait Air Sports Club Chairman Ahmad Mouhej hailed the achievement, praising the athletes’ performances and their efforts to secure the gold medal.

Mouhej, who also serves as vice-president of the Asian and Arab Air Sports Federations, thanked the Public Authority for Sport and Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs Dr Tareq Al-Jalahma for supporting air sports.

He also expressed appreciation to the Kuwaiti Embassy in Tunisia, headed by Ambassador Mansour Al-Omar, for its warm reception of the delegation.

Mouhej said the championship had witnessed fierce competition, adding that Kuwait’s participation in regional and international events would help strengthen the sport’s presence in the country and improve athletes’ competitive standards at Arab and continental levels.
