KUWAIT CITY, Mar 27: Kuwait’s Civil Defense has urged residents to update their iPhones to the latest operating system to ensure they can receive national emergency alerts, as the system begins rollout across the country. Lieutenant Yusuf Al-Otaibi, head of the Alarm Systems Department at the General Directorate of Civil Defense, said during a media briefing that activating the alert service on iPhone devices requires the latest software update. He also confirmed that the first live test of the National Emergency Alerts System was successfully conducted on Thursday across all mobile phones.
