Kuwait Cancels Licenses of 516 Companies

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 11: Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Al-Ajil has issued Ministerial Decree No. 196 of 2025, ordering the cancellation of certain commercial vehicle licenses.

Article 1 of the decree states that the commercial licenses of 516 companies listed in the attached appendix have been revoked due to their failure to submit financial statements for three consecutive years, in accordance with Paragraph (7) of Article 266 of the Companies Law.

Under Article 2, dissolution procedures will be initiated against the companies named in Article 1 in line with Article 266 of the Companies Law No. (1) of 2016, and the affected companies will be formally notified to begin liquidation procedures.

Article 3 stipulates that the competent authorities shall enforce this decree, which takes effect from the date of issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
