Kuwait calls for pressuring Israel work with human rights’ panels

53rd session of UN Human Rights Council runs until July 14
GENEVA, June 21: Kuwait called on the international community through the UN Human Rights Council to pressure Israeli occupation forces to work with the committees of the council to enter Palestinian lands. This came in Kuwait’s speech in the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, dialogue session, which was presented by diplomatic attache Fedha Al-Darweesh, in the 53rd session of the UN Human Rights Council.
She affirmed Kuwait’s support to the statements issued by the groups that Kuwait belongs to, praising efforts of the International Commission in preparing this case despite restrictions and harassment by Israel. Al-Darweesh stressed Kuwait’s strong condemnation to the practices and violations on the Palestinian people and lands by Israeli occupation forces. The 53rd session of the UN Human Rights Council is set from June 19 to July 14, to discuss various human rights issues.(KUNA)
