KUWAIT CITY, Dec 28: Director of the Meteorological Department Dhirar Al-Ali says the country will experience a noticeable drop in temperatures in the coming days, starting Tuesday, reports Al-Seyassah daily. He explained to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the weather will be cool to cold during the day and cold to very cold at night, with chances of frost forming early Wednesday morning in some desert and agricultural areas. On Sunday morning, the country was affected by scattered rain and thunderstorms in some areas, particularly along the coast, due to the influence of a weak surface low extending over northern Kuwait. This was followed by the advancement of a highpressure system accompanied by a cold air mass arriving from the northwest.

This cold air mass will lead to a significant drop in temperatures on Tuesday, accompanied by northwesterly winds reaching speeds of over 60 kilometers per hour. These winds may cause dust storms and reduced horizontal visibility in some areas, while sea waves could rise above seven feet. The expected daytime temperatures will range between 12°C and 15°. Temperatures on early Wednesday morning are expected to drop to between 2°C and 5°C, possibly lower in some desert and agricultural areas, with a chance of frost formation. Temperatures are expected to gradually rise starting Thursday, with maximum temperatures ranging from 18°C to 20°C and minimum temperatures between 6°C and 9°C.
