KUWAIT CITY, Oct 19: Kuwait’s national bowling team continued to impress at the World Bowling Championships in Germany, with the competition running until October 22.

Kuwait bowlers Aseel Al-Roumi and Mohammed Abdullah produced strong performances to reach the round of 16. However, the draw matched them against Israeli opponents, prompting both players to withdraw and forfeit their matches.

A similar situation occurred in the women’s competition, where Kuwait’s team was also drawn against Israeli opponents and decided not to play.

Sheikh Talal Mohammed Al-Sabah, president of the Kuwait Bowling Federation and the International Bowling Federation, praised the performances of Kuwait’s male and female bowlers, saying their overall standard had improved beyond expectations.

He attributed their progress to the players’ commitment, determination, and strong desire to represent Kuwait with distinction.

Sheikh Talal Mohammed Al-Sabah added that the federation’s board would continue to provide the necessary support and address challenges facing the national teams to develop the sport, raise performance levels, and achieve further success on the international stage.
