Kuwait Border Sites Again Targeted in Drone Attack From Iraq

KUWAIT CITY, April 24: Two northern border outposts in Kuwait were targeted in an attack involving explosive drones originating from Iraq, according to the country’s Ministry of Defense, which confirmed there were no human casualties.

In a statement issued by the official spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi, authorities said the incident occurred this morning when two fiber-optic wire-guided explosive drones struck the border centers, causing material damage.

The ministry described the incident as a “sinful, aggressive attack” and said that competent authorities immediately initiated necessary security and response measures following the strike. Investigations and operational assessments are currently underway.

The statement also reaffirmed that Kuwait’s security agencies are fully engaged in addressing the situation and ensuring the protection of national borders.

Authorities concluded the statement by invoking prayers for the safety of Kuwait and its leadership, under Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
