In a televised interview, Colonel Al- Lamee’ stressed that the plan involves detailed preparations and continuous coordination among all sectors of the ministry, in collaboration with relevant government agencies, to enable rapid and effective management of security and humanitarian incidents. He emphasized the ministry’s dedication to handling all reports received through the Emergency Hotline No. 112 with utmost seriousness, noting that the service operates 24/7. Colonel Al-Lamee’ explained that security and traffic patrols have been strategically deployed according to a detailed organizational plan to manage the expected gatherings. This ensures rapid response capabilities, maintains smooth traffic flow, and prevents any behavior that could compromise public safety.
The Reports Department, which is part of the Central Operations Sector, operates continuously without holidays. Statistics show the department handles around 360,000 security and humanitarian reports annually. These reports cover a wide range of incidents, including security breaches, humanitarian needs, requests for assistance, and medical emergencies. Colonel Al-Lamee’ noted that the 112 Emergency Hotline received approximately 3.2 million calls in 2024. He urged all citizens and residents to cooperate with security agencies, follow the instructions of security and traffic personnel, and not hesitate to use the Hotline No. 112 in case of any emergency. Colonel Al-Lamee’ concluded with a prayer for the country, asking for the continuation of security and safety and wishing peace, prosperity, and happiness for everyone in the new year, 2026.
