Kuwait beach volleyball teams head to Jordan for the West Asia Championship

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 3: Kuwait’s national beach volleyball teams (men and women) have departed for Amman to take part in the opening round of the West Asia Beach Volleyball Championship, which will run from August 3 to 9 with the participation of leading teams from across the region.

The men’s delegation includes team administrator Issa Al-Saleem, head coach Ahmed Abdulrazzaq, and referee Hussein Al-Tamimi, along with players Abdulwahab Taleb, Mishaal Al-Omar, Barrak Khasrouh and Ibrahim Diaa. The squad is looking to make a strong start to the tournament and secure positive results.

The women’s delegation features administrator Anoud Al-Moones and players Halima Rashid, Alaa Al-Bahwah, Jinan Abdulrahman and Dana Salama.

The women’s team participation highlights the Kuwait Volleyball Association’s continued efforts to develop the sport and provide players with valuable experience through regional competitions.

The two teams’ participation is part of a wider preparation program designed by the federation to improve technical performance, increase readiness for upcoming challenges, and provide players with more international exposure against different volleyball styles.

Following the completion of the first round in Jordan, the delegation will travel directly to Lebanon to compete in the second round of the West Asia Championship, scheduled from August 9 to 14, allowing the teams to continue their regional campaign through back-to-back competitions.
