KUWAIT CITY, May 6: The Kuwait beach volleyball team has departed for Doha to compete in the inaugural West Asian Championship, scheduled to take place from May 5 to 10.
Issa Al-Saleem leads the delegation and includes women’s team administrator Amal Al-Faraj and national team coach Ahmed Abdul-Razzaq. Representing Kuwait in the men’s competition are Team A, featuring Abdulwahab Talib and Jassim Al-Sabbagh, and Team B, comprised of Nawaf Talal and Ibrahim Diaa. The women's Team A includes Al-Ghadeer Al-Sayegh and Dana Mansour, while Team B consists of Munira Yousef and Halima Abdullah.
Delegation head Issa Al-Saleem expressed confidence in the team's potential, despite the limited preparation period, which featured intensive daily training sessions on the Green Island courts. He praised the dedication of both the technical staff and the players in working to ensure the team is ready for this important regional event.
Al-Saleem also extended his gratitude to the Kuwait Volleyball Federation for its continued support of the national beach volleyball program.
