KUWAIT CITY, Apr 14: The Supreme Judicial Council has announced a strict ban on photography and videography inside all courtrooms and judicial buildings across the country, unless prior written approval is granted by the presiding judge.

In a statement issued Tuesday, the Council said the decision was taken during its latest meeting as part of efforts to uphold the judiciary’s mission and safeguard its dignity and sanctity.

The move also aims to protect the privacy of litigants and address security concerns within judicial premises across all governorates in Kuwait.

Officials stressed that the restriction applies to all forms of recording and will be enforced nationwide.
