Kuwait Bans Sale of Tobacco and E-Cigarettes via Delivery Platforms

KUWAIT CITY, Mar 15: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has issued Ministerial Resolution No. 27 of 2026, prohibiting the sale of tobacco, cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, and related consumption tools or accessories through home delivery platforms or any digital means.

The resolution, effective from March 15, 2026, allows the ministry to impose penalties for violations, including warnings, temporary administrative closures, or license cancellation in cases of repeated breaches. Any previous provisions conflicting with the resolution are now repealed.

The ministry emphasized its commitment to regulating the sale of tobacco products and ensuring compliance with the new rules.
