KUWAIT CITY, Apr 2: Kuwait’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry has issued Ministerial Resolution No. (31) of 2026, prohibiting the sale and trading of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as drones, across all shops and commercial markets until further notice.
The resolution stipulates that establishments found in violation will face penalties under Decree Law No. (10) of 1979, including closure and referral to competent investigative authorities for legal action. It also states that any conflicting provisions in previous resolutions are hereby annulled.
The decision, effective from April 2, 2026, aims to regulate the circulation of UAVs in the local market amid ongoing security considerations.
