Kuwait, Bahrain Discuss Regional Developments and Strengthen Bilateral Ties

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 15: Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa met Kuwait Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Wednesday to discuss regional developments and ongoing efforts to address them, according to a statement from the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry. The meeting took place during the minister’s official visit to Bahrain.

The discussions also highlighted the strong and long-standing fraternal relations between Kuwait and Bahrain, with both sides reviewing ways to further enhance cooperation across various fields. Sheikh Jarrah conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait and His Highness the Crown Prince to the Bahraini King, along with wishes for continued health and prosperity for Bahrain and its people.

In a separate meeting, the Kuwait Foreign Minister also held talks with Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif Al Zayani, where both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation and coordination at all levels. The two ministers also discussed regional developments, including the repercussions of recent tensions in the region, and stressed the importance of diplomatic efforts to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable settlement that ensures security and stability.

Both sides emphasized continued coordination in light of current regional challenges, reflecting the close ties and shared interests between the two countries.(KUNA)
