MUSCAT, Dec 23 (KUNA):  Kuwait’s national shooting team added two more medals to its tally at the Arab Pistol and Rifle Shooting Championship, winning two bronze medals in the 50m Three Positions event for men and women. This brought Kuwait’s total haul to three medals—one silver and two bronze.

Head of the Kuwaiti delegation and Secretary General of the Kuwaiti and Arab Shooting Federations, Obaid Al-Osaimi, said that Turki Al-Shemmari, Ali Al-Mutairi, and Khaled Al-Majed finished third in the men’s competition with a score of 58.1704 points. Oman claimed the gold medal, while Bahrain secured silver.

In the women’s event, Maryam Arzouqi, Ritaaj Al-Ziyadi, and Fajr Al-Dhbaib also placed third, recording 41.1659 points. Bahrain topped the standings, with Oman finishing second.

The Kuwaiti team had earlier delivered a strong performance on Sunday by finishing second overall after intense competition with other Arab teams. Kuwait’s women’s trio had already claimed silver in the 10m Air Rifle event.
