KUWAIT CITY, June 17: Minister of Health Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi discussed on Wednesday with Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kuwait Emil Karimov prospects for enhancing health cooperation and expanding areas of medical expertise exchange. This comes as part of the ministry’s efforts to strengthen international partnerships and support the sustainable development of the health sector.
Al-Awadhi said in a press statement that the deep-rooted bilateral relations between Kuwait and Azerbaijan provide a solid foundation for further cooperation that serves mutual interests and promotes the exchange of knowledge and expertise in various health fields. For his part, Assistant Undersecretary for External Health Services Dr. Hesham Kalandar said the Ministry of Health continues to work on establishing effective strategic partnerships with leading international health institutions in support of the ministry’s approach toward innovation, knowledge transfer and the adoption of advanced healthcare solutions and best practices.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Karimov expressed his country’s appreciation for the level of cooperation with Kuwait, affirming Azerbaijan’s readiness to expand health cooperation and exchange specialized expertise and experiences in a manner that enhances mutual interests and opens new horizons for partnership between the two sides. He also commended the rapid progress and qualitative achievements witnessed by Kuwait’s healthcare system, praising the Ministry of Health’s efforts to develop healthcare services and strengthen its regional and international presence through constructive cooperation with various international partners.
The meeting reviewed opportunities for joint cooperation in a number of priority health areas, particularly medical training and qualification, the exchange of expertise and specialized competencies, and benefiting from successful experiences and modern health technologies to enhance the efficiency of the healthcare system and improve the quality of services provided in line with international standards and best practices.
