Kuwait authority cuts electricity to violating agricultural plots in Al-Wafra
Kuwait’s Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources disconnects power to non-compliant agricultural plots in Al-Wafra.

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 19: Kuwait’s Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) announced on Sunday that electricity has been cut off from a number of agricultural plots and holdings in the Al-Wafra area after they were reclaimed for violating the terms and conditions of their allocation.

In a press statement, the Authority said its Director General, Engineer Salem Al-Hai, carried out an inspection tour of the Al-Wafra agricultural area, accompanied by field teams and in coordination with the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, to ensure that owners of agricultural plots and holdings were complying with the regulations governing their designated use.

The inspection resulted in the disconnection of electricity to several non-compliant and illegal holdings that had recently been withdrawn due to violations, the Authority said.

PAAAFR stressed the need for owners of agricultural plots and holdings to strictly adhere to the terms and conditions of allocation to avoid legal and administrative measures, in line with applicable laws and regulations.
