KUWAIT CITY, Sep 9: Joint inspection efforts by the Commercial Control and Consumer Protection Department and the Ministry of Interior have uncovered several violations at vehicle garages in Hawally Governorate.
The campaign was carried out by the Hawalli Governorate Inspection Department in coordination with the General Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior.
During the inspections, authorities found garages carrying out vehicle repairs resulting from traffic accidents and changing vehicle colors without obtaining the required written approval from the Ministry of Interior.
Inspectors also detected the possession and sale of used tires, as well as violations involving the failure to prominently display warranty-period information for new, refurbished and used spare parts.
A seizure report was issued against the violating garages, while the competent authorities took all prescribed legal measures against those responsible.
The campaign forms part of ongoing coordination between the relevant authorities to strengthen commercial oversight, protect consumers and ensure compliance with traffic and vehicle-related regulations.
