Kuwait Authorities Shut Down Shop Selling Fake Branded Products in Farwaniya

KUWAIT CITY, May 4: Inspection teams in Al Farwaniyah Governorate have shut down a commercial store after uncovering a cache of counterfeit branded products intended for sale to consumers.

During the raid, officials seized a total of 657 fake items, including clothing, handbags, footwear, and women’s accessories. The goods were found to be imitations of well-known international brands and were being displayed and marketed as genuine.

Authorities confirmed that the store has been closed, and the case has been referred to the Commercial Prosecution for further legal action against those responsible.

The crackdown is part of ongoing efforts by Kuwaiti authorities to combat commercial fraud and protect consumers from counterfeit products in local markets.
