KUWAIT CITY, July 20: The General Directorate of Criminal Investigation has achieved significant success in apprehending individuals involved in various criminal activities across different governorates.
In Jahra Governorate, a person of African nationality was arrested for committing fraud. He deceived people by claiming to have the ability to convert $100 bills using certain chemicals.
Meanwhile, in the Khaitan region, the Farwaniya Governorate Investigation Department arrested two individuals operating a local liquor factory. During the operation, a large number of barrels containing intoxicating substances and bottles prepared for sale were seized.
In the Capital Governorate, two individuals were apprehended for fraudulently selling non-original gold bars to multiple stores in the country. Their activities were exposed following a complaint, and during their arrest, suspected narcotic substances were found in their possession.
Furthermore, the Hawalli Governorate Investigation Department successfully tracked down two individuals involved in multiple cases of theft. They targeted workers in cooperative societies and health clinics, luring them with the promise of financial handouts before stealing from them. Upon investigation, it was revealed that there were six previously unknown cases against them.
During questioning, the accused confessed to their crimes, and all of them have been handed over to the appropriate authorities to face legal action.
These commendable efforts and security follow-ups by the authorities have led to the apprehension of these individuals involved in different criminal activities, contributing to maintaining law and order in the country.
