Kuwait Authorities Destroy 4.75 kg of Spoilt Poultry Liver in Jahra

KUWAIT CITY, Apr 27: The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition has confirmed the destruction of 4.750 kg of poultry liver deemed unfit for human consumption during an inspection tour in Al Jahra Governorate.

The authority said its Poultry Slaughterhouses Department detected the contaminated product at one of the slaughterhouses during a routine regulatory inspection. Officials found that the liver showed changes in its natural properties, rendering it unsafe for consumption.

Immediate action was taken on-site, and the affected quantity was disposed of in accordance with approved health and safety regulations.

The authority added that inspection campaigns are ongoing across slaughterhouses in Ahmadi Governorate and Al Jahra to ensure compliance with food safety standards and to protect public health.
