Kuwait Authorities Close Shop Selling Banned Water Toys

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 23:  Environmental law enforcement officers, in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce, conducted a crackdown on retailers selling water balloons and water guns, items prohibited for sale and use during national celebrations.

The operation led to the confiscation of significant quantities of prohibited balloons and water pistols from a store in Abdali, amounting to approximately one thousand cartons. Confiscated items were seized, financial violation reports were issued, legal actions were taken against the store personnel, the establishment was sealed off, and operations were ceased.

These actions are carried out in adherence to the directives of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Acting Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef. Any expat involved in the sale of such banned materials will be deported.
