KUWAIT CITY, Mar 3: In a decisive move to safeguard public security and maintain stability, Kuwaiti security authorities have apprehended an individual who circulated a social media video falsely claiming that residential towers in the Mahboula area were under threat.

The alarming clip, which sparked fear and anxiety among residents, was quickly traced by security forces through intensified monitoring and investigation. The perpetrator, who filmed and distributed the video to a private group, was identified and taken into custody. Upon questioning, he admitted to creating and sharing the clip and has been referred to the competent authorities for legal action.

The Ministry of Interior warned that spreading such false information poses extreme danger, as it incites panic, disrupts security operations, and undermines public trust. The ministry underscored that any attempt to spread rumors or false news will be met with strict enforcement and zero tolerance, emphasizing the government’s commitment to preserving law, order, and community safety.
