KUWAIT CITY, Mar 2: The Ministry of Interior announced that the competent security authorities, represented by the Criminal Security Sector, have apprehended a number of individuals accused of committing serious violations deemed harmful to public security and social stability.

In a statement, the ministry said those arrested included individuals who filmed ongoing events and illegally circulated video clips, actions it described as contributing to the spread of chaos, misleading public opinion and instilling fear among citizens and residents.

The ministry also confirmed the arrest of several individuals for publishing content expressing sympathy with terrorist organizations through personal social media accounts and online platforms.

It stressed that security agencies will continue intensive monitoring and follow-up operations across social media platforms and other relevant fields, warning that legal action will be taken against anyone found violating the law. All those apprehended have been referred to the competent authorities after the necessary legal measures were initiated.

The ministry noted that it had previously warned against engaging in such unlawful practices and reiterated that it will not tolerate any attempt to undermine the country’s security.

It urged citizens and residents to rely solely on official state sources for information and to refrain from circulating unverified content. The ministry further called on the public not to film ongoing field operations or security personnel while they are carrying out their duties, cautioning that such actions may result in legal penalties and could hinder security efforts aimed at safeguarding Kuwait’s safety and stability.
