Kuwait arrests 'Bedoun' for running illegal narcotics lab in Kabd

In a press statement, the Ministry of Interior affirmed that in line with its ongoing effort to combat drugs and protect society from such toxins, the Criminal Security Sector -- represented by DCGD -- arrested a Bedoun for operating a laboratory for manufacturing, storing, and distributing narcotics in a rented stable in Kabad.

The raid resulted in the seizure of 25 kilograms of synthetic cannabinoids ready for distribution; 10 liters of the basic substance used in manufacturing the synthetic cannabinoids; 15,000 Lyrica capsules; 250 grams of shabu (crystal meth); a large quantity of leaves saturated with the synthetic cannabinoids ready for distribution; several equipment and tools used in manufacturing the substances; and various chemicals, including concentrated toxic pesticides, acetone and lacquer.

According to the ministry, investigations revealed that the accused used toxic and dangerous chemicals, such as pesticides and acetone, to mix and prepare the synthetic cannabinoids, which pose a grave risk to public health and may lead to death. It reaffirmed its continuous pursuit of all those spreading narcotic substances, stressing that protecting society and maintaining its security and stability are its top priorities. Security sources also confirmed that the accused has a criminal record and that the seized items threaten the lives of young people who use deadly narcotics.
