Kuwait Arrests 7 Over Reckless Jet Ski Use and for Harassing Sea-Goers

KUWAIT CITY, May 11: The Kuwait Coast Guard has arrested seven individuals for reckless and irresponsible behaviour while operating jet skis in maritime areas, the Kuwait Ministry of Interior said, as part of ongoing security and monitoring campaigns at sea.

Authorities said the suspects were involved in disturbing and harassing other sea users, in violation of maritime safety regulations and instructions.

The Coast Guard said the operation forms part of intensified field campaigns aimed at identifying and deterring violations that endanger public safety in coastal waters, adding that offenders will be dealt with firmly in accordance with the law.

The ministry urged all sea users to strictly follow maritime rules and exercise responsibility while using jet skis and other watercraft, warning that violations could lead to legal accountability.
