KUWAIT CITY, Aug 23: Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior carried out a comprehensive security and traffic campaign in the Farwaniya and Khaitan areas on Thursday, August 20, 2026, as part of ongoing efforts to apprehend wanted individuals and law violators and strengthen public safety.
Security personnel from the General Department of Emergency Police, Traffic and Operations were deployed along major roads in both areas to enhance security and traffic monitoring.
The campaign resulted in:
- 64 wanted individuals arrested in connection with criminal cases, absconding cases and outstanding arrest warrants.
- 47 individuals arrested for residency violations.
- 4 individuals arrested for failing to carry valid identification.
- 1 wanted vehicle seized.
- 407 traffic violations recorded.
The Ministry of Interior said the campaign forms part of its comprehensive security plans aimed at maintaining security and safety for citizens and residents and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
Security and field campaigns will continue across various parts of Kuwait as authorities step up efforts to maintain public order, enhance road safety and strengthen security presence.
