KUWAIT CITY, Aug. 6: The Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Department of Criminal Investigation and the Residence Affairs Investigation Department, in cooperation with the Public Authority for Manpower, conducted an inspection campaign in Shuwaikh Industrial Area to detect violations of residency and labor laws.
The campaign included inspections and audits of 120 commercial establishments as part of ongoing security efforts to apprehend individuals violating Kuwait’s residency and labor regulations.
The operation resulted in the arrest of 48 violators, including:
- 9 violators of Article 20 (domestic worker residency violations).
- 1 absconding case under Article 20.
- 36 violators of Article 18 (private sector residency violations).
- 1 Article 18 violator linked to a non-existent company, with an arrest warrant issued in the case.
- 1 violator of Article 22 (dependent visa violation).
The Ministry of Interior said necessary legal and administrative procedures have been taken against all those arrested, and they will be referred to the competent authorities for further action. The ministry reaffirmed that inspection campaigns will continue to enforce residency and labor laws across Kuwait.
