KUWAIT CITY, May 20: As part of ongoing security efforts to combat drug trafficking, the Ministry of Interior said its Criminal Security Sector, through the General Directorate for Drug Control, has arrested four suspects in two separate operations involving narcotics, psychotropic substances, and alcohol intended for trafficking and personal use.
In the first operation, two suspects were found in possession of 207 bottles of assorted liquor bottles and one gram of heroin, according to the ministry.
In a second operation, authorities arrested two additional suspects after seizing approximately two kilograms of hashish, 250 grams of marijuana, 500 grams of methamphetamine, 1,500 Lyrica capsules, 100 methadone tablets, and two precision scales allegedly used for weighing and preparing narcotics.
The ministry said all legal procedures have been completed and the suspects, along with the seized items, have been referred to the competent authorities for further action.
The Ministry of Interior added that security campaigns will continue across the country to target drug dealers and protect society from the dangers of narcotics.
