KUWAIT CITY, May 15: The Ministry of Interior announced that a joint inspection campaign in the Al-Hajin area led to the arrest of 17 individuals for violating residency and labor laws, as authorities intensified efforts to enforce security regulations and combat misuse of state property.
The field operation was carried out on Thursday by the Security Directorates Operations Department in coordination with the Public Authority for Youth and the Sports Committee.
According to officials, those apprehended were referred to the competent authorities after legal measures were taken against them.
Authorities also recorded violations against four plots of land found to be used for purposes other than those legally designated. Investigations revealed that some plots had been converted into carpentry workshops, a factory, warehouses for wedding supplies, and subdivided accommodations for workers.
In the same operation, the Joint Committee for Removing Encroachments on State Property, accompanied by representatives from the Public Authority for Youth, disconnected electricity services to the violating properties as part of what officials described as firm deterrent action.
The Ministry of Interior said inspection and security campaigns will continue across the country to monitor violations, prevent encroachments on state property, and pursue violators of residency and labor regulations.
Authorities stressed that laws will be strictly enforced to maintain public order and security throughout the country.
