Kuwaiti Army chief meets Belgian ambassador to boost bilateral cooperation

KUWAIT CITY, May 22: Lieutenant General Khaled Daraj Saad Al-Shuraian, Chief of General Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces received Indian Ambassador HE Promita Tripathi, where both sides discussed ways to strengthen defense cooperation between India and Kuwait. During the meeting, officials reviewed ongoing bilateral engagement under the Memorandum of Understanding on Defence Cooperation, including plans related to Joint Defence Cooperation Committee meetings, military training and capacity building, defense manufacturing, and naval cooperation. The discussions also addressed regional developments and reflected the shared commitment of both countries to further deepen their strategic partnership.

Separately, Lieutenant General Al-Shuraian also received Christian Doms to discuss bilateral relations and areas of joint cooperation between Belgium and Kuwait. The meeting was attended by Abdullah Mishal Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah and Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, with discussions focusing on enhancing ties and cooperation between the friendly nations.
