KUWAIT CITY, May 10: Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday that the Armed Forces detected some hostile drones within Kuwaiti airspace during the early hours of the morning and responded to them in accordance with established military procedures.
In Statement No. 6 issued by the ministry, the Armed Forces said the drones were identified at dawn and were dealt with immediately, without providing further details on the nature of the threat or the outcome of the operation.
The ministry reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ full readiness to safeguard the country’s security and protect citizens and residents amid heightened regional tensions.
Authorities did not specify the origin of the drones or whether any damage or casualties were reported.
