KUWAIT CITY, Apr 18: The Kuwait Ministry of Education has approved plans to construct seven new schools in Sabah Al-Ahmad Sea City as part of its strategy to expand educational infrastructure in rapidly developing residential areas.
The ministry said the selection of school locations was based on detailed population density studies to ensure a balanced distribution of services and easy access for residents. The projects will cover all educational stages, including kindergarten, primary, intermediate, and secondary schools for both boys and girls, providing a complete education pathway within the area.
Officials confirmed that site boundaries have already been received from the Kuwait Municipality, marking a key step toward launching implementation procedures. Technical and engineering teams have begun preparing architectural designs tailored to the available land, with a focus on flexible layouts, efficient space utilization, and alignment with modern educational standards.
The ministry added that construction contracts will be tendered in accordance with Public Tenders Law No. 49 of 2016, ensuring transparency, quality, and clear separation between design and execution phases.
Once completed, the new schools are expected to significantly boost school capacity in the area and provide an integrated learning environment for families in one of Kuwait’s newest urban developments, supporting the country’s broader goals for sustainable growth and high-quality education.
