Kuwait appoints new customs leadership under Amiri Decree
Sheikh Fahad Yousef Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 24: The General Administration of Customs announced on Sunday that new senior appointments have been made within the department, in line with Amiri Decree No. 162 of 2025.

The decision, issued by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, aims to strengthen the department’s leadership and enhance its role in developing customs operations to meet the needs of the coming stage.

According to a press statement, Yousef Khaled Al-Nuwaif has been appointed Director General of the General Administration of Customs with the rank of Undersecretary. Saleh Mohammed Al-Omar was named Deputy Director General for Customs Investigation and Investigation Affairs with the rank of Assistant Undersecretary, while Fatima Hamza Al-Qallaf was appointed Deputy Director General for Administrative and Financial Affairs, also with the rank of Assistant Undersecretary.

The General Administration of Customs emphasized that the appointments reflect the political leadership’s commitment to advancing customs work, modernizing its services, and empowering national competencies to assume positions of responsibility.
