Kuwait and Saudi Arabia sign a pact on Hajj facilitation for Kuwaiti pilgrims
Kuwait and Saudi Arabia sign an agreement to organize the Kuwaiti pilgrims’ Hajj 1447 AH arrangements.

JEDDAH, Nov 9: Kuwait and Saudi Arabia on Sunday signed an agreement to organize the affairs of Kuwaiti pilgrims for the 1447 Hijri Hajj season, covering quotas, health requirements, and arrangements for facilitating the pilgrims’ journey and performance of rituals.

The agreement was signed in Jeddah by Acting Undersecretary of the Kuwait Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Suleiman Al-Suweilem, and Saudi Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Abdulfattah Mashat.

Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) after the signing, Dr. Al-Suweilem said the agreement determines the number of Kuwaiti pilgrims allowed for the season, outlines the required health conditions, and sets arrangements for receiving pilgrims upon arrival in Saudi Arabia. He praised the efforts of the Saudi government, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, in facilitating Hajj services and ensuring a smooth experience for pilgrims.

Dr. Al-Suweilem is leading the Kuwaiti delegation at the fifth edition of the Hajj Conference and Exhibition, which begins Sunday and runs until November 12. The delegation includes Sattam Al-Muzain, Director of the Hajj and Umrah Department at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs; Abdullah Al-Buaijan, Hajj and Umrah Affairs Supervisor; and Khalid Al-Amirah, Head of the Foreign Relations Follow-up Section at the Minister’s Office.

The conference, organized by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in cooperation with the Guests of God Service Program, serves as a global platform for experts, specialists, and representatives of countries and organizations to review innovations in Hajj management, build partnerships, and enhance services for pilgrims.
