NAGOYA, Sept 20 (KUNA): Kuwait and Japan have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and exchanging expertise in the sports sector.

Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs Dr. Tareq Al-Jalahma and Japan Sports Agency Commissioner Junichi Kawai signed the agreement yesterday on behalf of Kuwait’s Public Authority for Youth and Sports and the Japan Sports Agency.

The Public Authority for Youth and Sports said the memorandum reflects Kuwait’s efforts to expand international sports partnerships and benefit from Japan’s advanced experience and expertise.

It will promote the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and best practices while supporting programs and initiatives aimed at serving athletes and youth.

The agreement will also provide new opportunities for coordination in areas of mutual interest and establish a sustainable framework for cooperation, contributing to stronger Kuwait-Japan relations and further development of Kuwait’s sports sector.
