Kuwait and India Deepen Strategic Partnership During Foreign Minister Jaishankar's Visit

KUWAIT CITY, July 8: His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received Wednesday India’s Minister of External Affairs, Dr. S. Jaishankar, and his accompanying delegation on an official visit to the country. The meeting reviewed the longstanding bilateral relations between Kuwait and India and discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation across various fields, in addition to exchanging views on issues of mutual interest. The meeting was attended by Chief of the Crown Prince’s Diwan Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al- Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and senior officials.

The two ministers reviewed the longstanding historical ties between Kuwait and India and discussed ways to further strengthen cooperation across various sectors. They emphasized enhancing bilateral coordination and expanding the framework of collaboration to broader levels.

The meeting also covered the latest regional and international developments, with both sides exchanging views on issues of mutual interest.

Following the talks, Sheikh Jarah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah hosted a luncheon in honor of Dr. Jaishankar and the accompanying Indian delegation, underscoring the close and friendly relations between the two countries.
